Attention: Photographers, News Assignment Editors

Today, Wednesday April 12, 2006, Sealers in Newfoundland and Labrador
are cracking the skulls of young Seals for fur in Asia and Russia.

Local animal rights group Canadiansforanimals, led by
Native Newfoundlander Nadine Saunders, will hold a candlelight vigil
tonight outside the offices of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans
in Vancouver.

Dressed in black, and chanting "murderous Sealers...stop the hunt,"
anti-sealing activists will light candles to mourn the deaths of the
325,000 Seals that are being killed under direction from the DFO.
