The Canadian Youth Chess Championship (CYCC) is a qualifier for the World Youth Chess Championships to be held in Turkey in the fall of 2009. This is the second CYCC to be held in Victoria, BC. Many extras are being planned for the 2009 CYCC. We are looking forward to seeing you at the 2009 CYCC.
Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Canadian resident for at least 12 months. Players with any question about their own eligibility to compete should contact Ellen Nadeau, Canadian Youth Chess Coordinator at [email protected] to verify eligibility. Failure to do so and not meeting the requirements could result in withdrawal from the tournament and/or ineligibility for awards.
Players must be current members of the Canadian Chess Federation. Please make sure your membership is valid until July 24th 2009 or later. Memberships may be purchased on line www.chess.ca
