The Canadian Space Agency, along with Graham Gibbs, Counsellor of Space Affairs, is supporting NASA in the Folklife Festival. NASA is celebrating their 50th Anniversary with various displays, movies, panels and presentations.

Canadian Space Agency has sent their model of Dextre, which was Canada’s latest contribution to the International Space Space (ISS). Dextre is the Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator or the robotic handyman that will perform many of the stations tasks outside of the ISS.

Graham Gibbs is on two panels:

June 25th 4:45-5:30 - ISS Robotic Helpers
June 27th 4:45-5:30 - ISS Global Village

All panels on the Exploration Stage

The panels provide an opportunity to showcase Canada’s robotics on the shuttle and ISS and our partnership role in the Space Station.
