Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet presents Moulin Rouge - The Ballet March 29, 2012

The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, one of the world's premier ensembles and the oldest continuously-running ballet company in North America, commissioned Moulin Rouge - The Ballet to celebrate its 70th Anniversary season. Choreographer Jorden Morris' work immediately became a runaway hit with audiences across Canada. Noted for artistic excellence, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet achieves a fine balance between classical traditions of Europe and the boldness of contemporary ballet.

Along with a rousing French soundtrack, Moulin Rouge The Ballet features high-kicking choreography and a passionate story of love, ambition and heartbreak. This ballet has been seen by close to 60,000 people across North America and has elicited cheers and ovations wherever it tours.
