On July 1st, as Canadians gather to honor their common heritage, values and achievements during their national holiday, Whole Foods Market shoppers in Fort Collins will also have an opportunity to celebrate during the store’s second annual Canada Day celebration. The event will take place on Wednesday, July 1, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Whole Foods store in Fort Collins, where customers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun-filled and informational activities.



Canada Day festivities at Whole Foods Market in Fort Collins will include:



11. a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Face Painting

11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 3 p.m., “Eagles and Beavers” Interactive Presentations for Kids—and Kids at Heart—on Similarities and Differences between Canada and the United States

11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Photo-Ops with Two Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officers

11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Canadian Food Tasting, Samples & Cooking Demos

11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Quiz Questions, Games, Give-A-Ways and Raffle

1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Canadian Cooking Class with Lesley Stowe, a Parisian-Trained Chef from Vancouver, Canada

5:30 p.m., Canadian Flag Cake-Cutting Ceremony, Photo-Op and Round of “Oh Canada” Led by Consul General of Canada Dale Eisler



The purpose of the event is to celebrate the Colorado-Canada connection and highlight the strong ties between neighbors, helping both countries keep their food supplies safe and secure, while also keeping their economies healthy. In addition, a staff member specializing in Consular Affairs at the Consulate General of Canada in Denver will be onsite at the event to answer general questions about services available for Canadians visiting or living in the four-state Rocky Mountain regions of Colorado, Montana, Utah and Wyoming.
