Though it seems as if they disappeared years ago, Camper Van Beethoven's original members have come together every so often to make sweet music which, at the time of their 1985 debut, was truly a revelation. The band's merging of punk, folk, ska and world music has been self-described as "surrealist absurdist folk" by founding members David Lowery (Cracker), Chris Molla and Chris Pedersen.
