Just Breathe at the Camp Moomba Blissfest and Yogathon

Not just for yogis, west coast fashionistas are invited to the "Just Breathe" Eco Fashion Show at the Camp Moomba Blissfest and Yogathon. "Just Breathe" is a good fit for the annual event that believes that clothing produced in an ethical manner and created from sustainable and organic fibers directly relate to the values emphasized in the yoga way of life.

"Just Breathe" will showcase outfits from Blissfest exhibitors during a 20 minute show. Well known Vancouver yogis adorned with silk scarves will walk an airy catwalk decorated with leafy fronds that will catch the breeze. When they reach the end of the runway models will do soft Tai Chi motions. Proving that eco friendly and yoga lifestyle fashions need not be boring, labels such as Margarita, Tonic, Lotuswear, Oqoqo, Alchemy, and Rio Rain will strut down the runway to live music by the Ghost Brothers.

Even if you aren't fashion focused or capable of molding your body into downward facing dog there is plenty to do at this family oriented event. Wander around the Blissfest Marketplace, browse the clothing, check out the environmentally friendly services, and don't forget to grab a snack as there will be plenty of fare to enjoy.

Those who feel the yoga vibes can join the throng of other yoga enthusiasts for 108 minutes of breathing, meditation and stretching. Sign up online for $20, registration fee includes a gift bag from Blissfest sponsors. This being a family event, registered participants can also bring a child under 12 for free, there will be special kids activities including button making, carnival games, crafts, a colouring contest, henna and face painting, story telling, children's yoga and more!

There is something for everyone this year at the sixth annual Blissfest and Yogathon, which happens from 1-7 pm on July 12, 2008 at Thunderbird Stadium, UBC. An affair that brings together yoga lovers and the health and eco friendly alike to raises funds for Camp Moomba; a specialized summer camp program for children age 6-17 who have been impacted by HIV/AIDS.
