For the 27th year Cambridge plays hosts to one of the UK’s most popular, prestigious and well-respected film festivals, bringing an event with a national profile to the city and delivering inspiring, thought-provoking and challenging cinema to an ever-widening range of cinema-goers. It is firmly established alongside Edinburgh and London as one of the UK’s major film events.

The Festival takes places over eleven days in July and is based at the three-screen Arts Picturehouse in the centre of Cambridge, with additional screenings and events at the nearby Cineworld multi-screen cinema and The Junction. Touring events also take place at numerous locations across the Eastern region including Norwich, Ipswich and Ely.

As well as films the Festival includes visits from actors and directors, forums, conferences, workshops and education events – and the ever-popular outdoor screenings on the inflatable Airscreen.
