Organizers of the third annual Conference on Gender at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, invite members of the Erie community to submit presentation proposals.

“Our Conference on Gender is a forum for college students, faculty, and the larger regional community to both present and experience thought-provoking works on issues of gender,” Dr. Sarah Whitney, director of Penn State Behrend’s women’s studies minor and conference chair, said. “Our theme, ‘Gender in the World,’ can be interpreted broadly; it addresses all aspects of sexuality and gender for both men and women. We’ll consider submissions of original work in any format, including papers, posters, roundtable discussions, and creative or artistic presentations.”

No previous conference experience is required to participate in the Conference on Gender, which will take place Thursday, April 8, and Friday, April 9, in the Larry and Kathryn Smith Chapel at Penn State Behrend. Submission abstracts of 250 to 500 words should be e-mailed as a Word attachment to [email protected] by Monday, Feb. 15. For additional information about the conference, phone Whitney at 814-898-6325.
