'Call and Response' documents artistic and cultural expression as developed, presented, and experienced by the people of the east of the river communities. The exhibition includes video stories developed for the exhibition by local artists and creators, photo essays of the artists' process and creative activities, and gallery installations organized around the themes of creativity, community, and identity. The exhibition will expand beyond the walls of the museum with offsite components incorporating installations of visual art, crafts, and other traditional and non-traditional creative works in selected outdoor and public venues in Wards 7 and 8.
