California Country Antique Country & Folk Art Show will be holding the fourth annual southern California antique show on Sat-Sun, March 21-22, 2009, in Building 14 at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA. Over fifty nationally recognized dealers will be selling high quality, yet affordable, country and folk art antiques in room settings. In addition, the Hatch Collection of Black Cloth Dolls will be on exhibit at this event.

The antique dealers at this show will be selling country and folk art antiques from the 17th-19th centuries including: country to formal furniture, folk art, quilts, hooked rugs, samplers, lighting, woodenware, baskets, stoneware, architectural and garden elements, camp and cottage, toys, items in old original paint and more.

Show management is especially pleased to have available for viewing only (not-for-sale) the Hatch Collection of Black Cloth Dolls in an exhibit titled No Longer Hidden: An Exhibit of Black Cloth Dolls 1870-1930. This exhibit first appeared at the Harvard Massachusetts Historical Society in the spring of 2007. This is the first time the exhibit will be available for viewing outside of New England. On display will be over 50 black cloth dolls loving collected by well-regarded Massachusetts antique dealer and collector, Pat Hatch. The black cloth dolls are examples of great folk art done by American women with form, color and attitude. As the curator, Roben Campbell extensively researched and documented the collection in the exhibit catalog which will be available for reference and sale at the show.
