220 - 4 Avenue SE
Calgary, Alberta T2G 4X3

Supporting a coalition government that represents a majority.

WHY
On December 4, Canadians rallied in cities across the country in support of the Liberal-NDP coalition. In Calgary, participants decided to hold weekly rallies — every Friday — to continue in that cause, and the cause of advancing democracy in our country.

WHEN
Every Friday until further notice.
The start time is approximate (five-ish). Things will probably really go from about 5:30pm to 6:00(ish)pm, to give time for people to get there after work.

WHAT TO BRING
Please bring your signs, placards, banners, etc., with messages supporting the coalition. Noise makers, too (whistles, drums, horns, rattles, etc.), and candles.

Please have messages supporting cooperation, dialogue, democracy. The more positive the better. Bashing or alienating conservative Canadians is not what this is about — this is about a more positive direction for the country based on working together and cooperation. Lets show local Conservatives what we mean when we say we support people coming together across party lines to work for the good of our communities, country and the world.

PLEASE DRESS EXTRA WARMLY!
Double-layers of socks are especially recommended for standing outside. And, please, worry less about fashion and make sure your ears are covered. Brrrrr.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
This is an unfunded, entirely volunteer-driven, event. Please chip in, if you can, by bringing extra signs/banners and it would be great if someone could supply some hot/warm beverages (I’m partial to herbal tea, in that regard :-)
Please bring your own mugs so we don’t have to resort to disposable cups.

WHO
These rallies are being organized by independent citizens in Calgary, with the support of various political, community and labour groups.
