About the Potlucks
Calgary Dollars holds monthly potlucks to encourage local currency interactions, bartering, to visit and to eat. There are often displays of goods or services that are available that night for local currency. The things for sale at each potluck vary, but in the past there has been everything from computers and TVs to unique crafts and antiques. Sometimes there are flea market tables where Calgary Dollars members offer items for sale, both at affordable prices and accepting Calgary Dollars. Use of tables is free, just call the office.

There are many other reasons to come out to this regular event. Before things get started people that are unfamiliar with Calgary Dollars can spend time talking with experienced members of the community and staff to get their questions answered and to sign-up. By signing up at a potluck, new members can receive their 40 Calgary Dollars right away and shop at the tables of goods for sale or strike a deal with someone at the potluck for the service they offer. Potlucks have become both a chance to visit informally as well as a valuable networking event for small business people.

Notes
We always have delicious food, but don't worry if you don't have the time or urge to cook something fancy. A bottle of juice, some fruit, or just bread and cheese are all welcome contributions.
