CALEB HAWLEY & MONICA ALLISON TO PLAY THE STOOP JULY 16TH
Indie pop/rock bands to play The Stoop, an unparalleled Hell’s Kitchen Music Venue.
NEW YORK, New York – June 23, 2011 – The Stoop, a distinctive music venue in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen is thrilled to present an electrifying night of indie rock and pop. This show will feature NYC singer/songwriting favorite, Caleb Hawley and his band headlining along with the exhilarating songstress Monica Allison opening up the evening. Though Caleb Hawley was most recently nationally recognized on Season Ten of American Idol, he’s toured all over the country consistently and has earned several honors in such prestigious contests as New York Songwriters Circle and The John Lennon Songwriting Contest. His extraordinary vocal abilities, guitar virtuosity, clever humor, and songwriting chops makes Caleb Hawley a true standout.

“The humble performer captivates audiences with soothing folk tunes in the same manner as James Taylor, and with the next breath blows them away with his powerhouse of soul, likened to that of Stevie Wonder. Audiences leave a Caleb Hawley show with a permanent grin, a heart full of laughter, and a tune to hum the whole way home.”
– Christina Morelli, NYC Art Scene

“Monica held the enraptured audience firmly in the palm of her hand and kept them there for the first tune until the last. There is an ever growing family of performers in the city that are dedicated to creating great music. Standing at the forefront of this family is a young woman named Monica Allison.”
– Chris MacIntosh aka “Grandfather Rock”, The Phantom Tollbooth

The event will be emceed by Chris MacIntosh (aka “Grandfather Rock”) of WCWP Radio. Doors open at 7:30 pm., and showtime is at 8pm. While the concert is free, The Stoop will be accepting suggested donations of $12. Receive a free gift with the full suggested cover. All drinks and concessions including beer and wine are inexpensively priced under $4.

The Stoop venue and concert series is presented by Music Forum of Church For All Nations, Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Church for All Nations is sponsoring the series in providing the landmark venue as a contribution to the cultural and spiritual life of Hell's Kitchen.
