Huppert travelled to Australia to take up the role of Colo, a Frenchwoman in exile from a stifling marriage who embarks on a tentative romance with a lecturer at a school for the sight-impaired as her own ability to see ebbs.

Robert Menzies plays the blind man who draws Colo into his orbit in a typically uneasy but always intriguing drama directed by Dutch-born Australian auteur, Paul Cox.

Cox regulars Norman Kaye and Sheila Florance feature in a fine supporting cast.
