This webinar will provide a "drill down" focus on the practical steps you need to take to comply with California's new Organ & Bone Marrow Donor Leave Law, review other important 2011 developments in the area of leave of absence laws, and have your leave law questions answered during a full 30 minutes dedicated to Q&A. Attendees will receive a sample policy for updating employee handbooks to add California Organ & Bone Marrow Donor Leave, and a sample form letter to use to respond to an employee's request for such leave. The presentation will also cover some important court rulings that have already come down in 2011, including with respect to potential employer liability for improperly questioning an employee regarding return status while on leave, the extent and nature of what an employer must prove to deny job reinstatement under FMLA, and liability for applying an attendance points policy to absences that are shown to be FMLA qualifying. As an added bonus, the impact of the new ADA regulations on ADA leave issues will be discussed.

The entire final 30 minutes of the program will be dedicated to answering attendee questions on any topic in the area of California and federal leave laws. Here's your chance to have your questions answered in this particularly complex area of the law!
