Butler Co. Scale Back Alabama Celebration 2K Walk/Run May 2, 2009

The public is invited to participate in the inaugural "Butler County Scale Back Celebration 2K Fun Run/Walk" on Saturday morning, May 2, 2009 in Greenville. It will be day of family fun and celebration with activities for children and health screenings for adults.
The run, sponsored by Pioneer Electric Cooperative and the Greenville Chamber of Commerce is being organized to energize those who have worked since the beginning of the year to lose weight and get healthy in the statewide Scale Back Alabama weight loss competition and to provide information to those who didn't get a chance to sign up this year!
****This is the same day as the 2nd Annual Spring Art Show in Confederate Park*****

When: This is a WALK, RUN AND RIDE event. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Pioneer Electric in Greenville.
Bike Riders will start the race at 9:30 a.m and the 2K walk/run will start at 10:00 a.m. on Herbert Street in front of Pioneer Electric. Children activities and Health Screenings will be ongoing betweeen registration and the start of the walk/run.
Where: The Walk/Run/Ride route will start on Herbert Street and go to Main Street to the courthouse and back to Herbert Street. (exact race route will be given day of and will be posted on this site before day of event-check back for details.)
Particpants: Walkers , Runners and Bike Riders are welcomed and encouraged. Teams are also encouraged to sign up. The 2K is a fun event for your family, staff, team and class. We are promoting a healthy lifestyle and sparking competition. We welcome individual participants, professional and novice runners.
Race Fees: There is no entry fee.
