GABA and the German Consulate present this opportunity to meet leading international venture capital and private equity fund managers who will share their views of next year's overall financial climate and funding for international technology companies.

After the extreme challenges entrepreneurs had to face last year, market, financing and M&A activities have been picking up steam in 2010. Many stocks and indices are soaring and public companies achieve all time highs in regards to share price and market capitalization. As a result, big corporate players are hungry for growth and some seem to be on a shopping spree. In fact, IBM, HP, Intel and the alike snapped up some of the most promising or fast paced companies this year and make last year's drought almost forgotten.

Panelists will reflect on market activity and the major financing and acquisition deals of 2010 and provide an outlook on where we'll be heading for in the New Year.

Questions to be discussed are:

- Have VC funds been able to raise (and close) any new funds?
- How deep are investor's pockets? How will this influence the outlook for the upcoming year?
- Buy Early, Buy Often" vs. "Buy Before IPO" - what's the corporate trend, if there is any?
- IPO vs. M&A - what is the most likely exit for later stage companies? Where will most money flow? Which are the most promising industry sectors in 2011?
- How did the financial crises influence or change the startup environment and venture capital investment strategies?

We will celebrate the closing of this year in the beautiful surroundings of the German Consulate in San Francisco. Don't miss this opportunity to share invaluable knowledge, learn key strategies for success, and get a unique networking experience.

We will serve a selection of German holiday specialties accompanied by wine and beer.
