Burning Dog Festival! June 11, 2010

Enjoy 4 days, 3 nights of camping, art, music and fun with your pooch in Big Sur!
“It’s like Burning Man, except with lots of trees and the beach, but minus all the heat.” giggles event coordinator Whitney Wilde, “And we will be building and burning a dog effigy out of wood, so bring a hammer!”
Hikes will include Sand Dollar Beach and Salmon Creek Falls. Art projects are designed to be created with your dog. Some of the planned art projects will be Make-Your-Own Burning Dog T-shirt, Burning Dog Bandana for your pooch, fancy ribbon collars, and canine ceramics projects. Side trips include Hearst Castle, Esalen Hot Springs and the Whale Watcher Cafe. There will be a wacky & wild costume party, BBQs, a luau (so bring your uke), live music by Jim Conroy on Saturday night and more. An agility course will be set up for use any time.
