Buried Finds: Textile Collectors in Egypt June 19, 2012

This is an exhibition of textile fragments from the late Roman, Byzantine, and early Islamic periods, excavated mainly from burials in the cemeteries of the Egyptian cities of Panopolis (Akhmim) and Antinoe (Sheikh Ibada) and of the Fayum.
