Bunnell S.T.A.G.E. to present "Guys and Dolls" May 6-9, 2010

"Guys and Dolls," with a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, and based on "The Idyll of Sarah Brown" and characters by Damon Runyon, will be presented by Bunnell High School Student Theater Arts Guild of Entertainment (S.T.A.G.E.) May 6-9, 2010.

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this oddball romantic comedy - considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy - soars with the spirit of Broadway. The musical introduces us to a cast of vivid characters who have become legends in the canon. Sarah Brown (Erin Williams), the uptight but upright "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers of Times Square; Sky Masterson (Brian Taliercio), the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide (Tiia Fischer), the chronically ill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact that she's been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit (Richie DeBiase), her devoted fiancé, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating dice game.

The talented cast of 50 sings and dances to some of Broadway's most remembered musical numbers - "A Bushel and A Peck," "Take Back Your Mink," "Luck Be A Lady," and "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boast," just to name a few.

Bruce Hirsch directs the production with vocal direction by Kerry Lambert, musical direction by Will Duchon, with choreography by S.T.A.G.E cast members. Performances are Thursday – Saturday, May 6-8, at 7:00 PM with a special Mother's Day Matinee on Sunday, May 9 at 2 PM. Reserved seat tickets are $8 for students and seniors, and $10 for adults.
