FEAT is a partnership of four womens voluntary organisations. Urban Inclusion Community, Account 3, Womens Resource Centre and Prowess. FEAT is funded by the London Development Agency to encourage the formation and growth of new businesses and social enterprises by black, asian and minority ethnic women directly linked to the entrepreneurial opportunities arising from the 2012 Olympics and other public sector commissions.
Kis Training manage The Women Into Non-Traditional Occupations project (WINTO), which is funded by the London Development Agency (LDA). It was designed to address the gender imbalance within various occupations where women are highly under represented (e.g. within the Construction industry). The WINTO project has delivered a range of courses and support services for 3 years and it ends on 31st March 2009.
Women and Manual Trades (WAMT) is the national membership organisation that aims to support tradeswomen and women that are training in the trades. WAMT was started in 1975 by a group of women who sought to explore ways to get training and to discuss strategies for challenging the discrimination faced by women in the manual trades and to develop a support network. Over the thirty years, WAMT has evolved and changed but its core objectives remain the same.
