RCD is a non-profit affordable housing development corporation dedicated to creating and perserving affordable housing for people with the fewest options in Northern California. Founded by Berkeley community members in 1984, RCD currently has over 1,100 affordable housing units it has developed or owns in Alameda, Albanpy, Antioch, Bay Point, Berkeley, Castro Valley, Concord, Emeryville, Fairfield, Okaland and Pacheco. RCD's developments serve very low and low-income households and special needs groups, including the homeless, people with disabilities, families, seniors and people living with HIV/AIDS.
