Build with Bags School Challenge press conference for 3 winning schools November 15, 2011

Metro Waste Authority and The Iowa Grocery Industry Association are sponsoring the 3rd Annual Build with Bags School Challenge which encourages plastic grocery bag recycling. A even bigger component of the challenge is awarding points to participating schools based on the number of reusable bags they use when shopping at participating grocery stores. The competition runs from October 3-November 4, with the winners announced at an assembly/press conference held at one of the three winning schools on America Recycles Day.
