“This tongue-in-cheek tribute to the 1920’s gangster flick is a child’s dream come true.”

“A pie-flinging, pinstripe-wearing, pint-sized classic!”

Bugsy Malone, Jr. is a rollicking tongue-in-cheek tribute to the 1920s gangster flick. It seems Fat Sam (Clayton Dixon), who runs one of the most popular clubs in town, is in danger of being closed down by his "business rival" Dandy Dan (Miles Ballard).

Enter baby-faced Bugsy Malone (Tristin Harrell), a killer with the ladies and a definite asset to Fat Sam. Unfortunately, Bugsy has also caught the eye of Sam’s girlfriend Tallulah (Jessica Mixon) - though he's set his designs on showgirl Blousey Brown (Morgan Ballard)...

Based on the 70’s film, this wild and wacky musical includes a non-violent gang war fought with "splurge blasters" which spew forth silly string! Fun for the entire family, Bugsy Malone Jr. is a wonderful showcase for young performers, with a catchy, swinging score by the composer of The Muppet Movie, Paul Williams. The NORD/CCLYT production features local jazz musicians, John Autin, David Pulphus, Simon Lott and Curtis Pierre.

Rounding out the cast of talented young performers are Sean-Michael Bruno, Tucker Godbold, Luci Gordon, Jadah Henry, Shayla Lange, Alaina McClue, Terrance McGee, Keaton McNamara, Olivia Mixon, Whitney Mixon, Tyrus Norcise, Erica O'Neal, Troy Privott, Ryan Schumacher, Zachary Stoufflet, Ayana Ward and Mitzi Zitler.

With Sarah Z. Singleton, director; Lula Elzy, choreographer; Julie Condy, music/vocal director; Edward R. Cox, scenic designer; Kevin Ann Planchet, costumer; and Mark Montalbano, lighting designer.

Bugsy Malone, Jr. runs from July 25 through August 10 on Fridays at 7:30 pm; Saturdays at 1:00 pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm.
