Buds & Blooms is a Mother’s Day Garden Festival for all ages - featuring over 22 acres of May floral blooms. The festival also offers presentations by gardening celebrities, workshops, music, art exhibits, and children’s activities at five garden related venues. The Spring festival garden tours include:

Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection: An outdoor museum of living Asian art features 60 beautifully shaped bonsai from six Pacific Rim nations, elegantly displayed in a woodland setting.

Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden: One of the world’s largest collections of rhododendrons, Washington’s State flower. Spring is peak blossom time. $5 entrance fee.

PowellsWood Garden: A privately owned three-acre perennial garden features 1,000 varieties of trees, flowering shrubs and plants set amidst a charming stream and pond. High tea served. $5 entrance fee.

West Hylebos Wetlands: A wildlife refuge and wetland featuring a one-mile-long boardwalk and trail, including a historic cabin open for public view.

Federal Way Farmers Market: Enjoy fresh cut flowers, bakery products and local crafts, along with advice from a master gardener. Saturday Only.

Parking is available at 33663 Weyerhaeuser Way South, Federal Way, WA 98003 with free shuttle service offered to all the surrounding gardens.
