Buddy Cianci was the first Italian-American to serve as mayor of Providence, Rhode Island and was a well-known criminal prosecutor prior to entering politics. Buddy tracks Cianci’s entanglements with City Council opponents, skirmishes with union officials, personal scandals and criminal indictments (like the one for assaulting a man with a lit cigarette, an ashtray and a fireplace log in 1984).
