Upon hearing Conrad Tao in recital two years ago, the critic from the San Francisco Chronicle wrote:

“It would be silly to advise keeping an eye out for Conrad Tao, or to suggest that this young man is going places. He’s already there, and he’s only going to get better.”
He might well have been speaking of all three young musicians.

One might call 15-year-old Conrad Tao a veteran. He started violin lessons at the age of 3, piano lessons at 3 and a half and by the age of 7 he was winning prizes for his compositions.

16-year-old cellist Nathan Chan began “conducting” when he was a toddler, and made his conducting debut at the age of 3. Nathan started cello lessons when he was 5.

Inspired by the violin playing of his older brother, 16-year-old Timmy Chooi made sure his parents enrolled him for lessons and by the age of 4 he was already winning National and International competitions.
