Bryce Kanights Curates Skate Photography Show, Opens 3/13/09 March 13, 2009

On March 13, 2009, Artery will open a skateboarding photography exhibit called The Seen of Change, curated by Bryce Kanights. Kanights, a San Francisco native who was heavily involved in the city’s street skateboarding movement in the 1990’s, has summoned the works of fellow skateboard industry photographers, with careers spanning close to three decades in skateboarding and photography. The name Seen of Change refers to the ways in which photography has endured a transition from analog to digital over the years, while showcasing how skateboarding has changed and progressed along with it. As well as Kanights, artists in the show include Grant Brittain, Jon Humphries, Joe Brook, and Ryan Flynn. The Seen of Change will open at 6 pm for a kick off celebration on Friday March 13, 2009 at Artery, 4114 N. Vancouver Avenue in Portland, with a bar hosted by Red Bull, and complimentary drinks and food served. Nike SB is a fellow sponsor of the exhibit. The show ends April 30, 2009.
