John Huston directs this taut, memorable thriller! Frank McCloud (Humphrey Bogart) travels to an island in the Florida Keys to visit his war buddy’s widow (Lauren Bacall). At the hotel where he stays, he crosses paths with sadistic gangster Johnny Rocco (Edward G. Robinson), who has taken over the hotel at gunpoint during a tropical storm. Also starring Lionel Barrymore and featuring an Oscar-winning performance by Claire Trevor as Robinson’s moll.
