Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and editor Tim McLoughlin, will read from and discuss Brooklyn Noir 2: The Classics ? a follow-up fiction anthology to the award-winning 2004 bestseller. Brooklyn Noir 2 includes short stories by some of the world?s most celebrated crime and mystery writers, including H.P. Lovecraft, Donald Westlake, Lawrence Block, Pete Hamill, Jonathan Lethem and Colson Whitehead. This second volume digs deep into the criminal history of New York's punchiest and most alluring borough, capturing the unique personalities of each distinct Brooklyn neighborhood and offering a glimpse of the borough?s darker side.
