This event is open to everyone.

During this season of Thanksgiving let's give to those who are less fortunate. We are looking for lots of volunteers for our biggest food pantry event of the year. Last year, we recruited 75+ volunteers for our Pre-Thanksgiving food pantry event to prepare a Thanksgiving food basket to 200+ Bronx families in need. Watch the video here filmed by Currents\Net TV: http://netny.net/currents/video/stories/thanksgiving-lunch-112509/

We are looking for volunteers to help assemble food baskets and then distribute these baskets to the poor on Saturday November 20th starting at 9am. If anyone would like to bring donations on the day for the food baskets we could use:

- Frozen Turkeys
- Stuffing mix
- Canned or fresh vegetables
- Cans or jars of gravy or packets of gravy mix
- Instant mashed potatoes
- Cranberry sauce
- Canned pumpkin or pumpkin pie filling

The assembly and distribution will take place at:
Immaculate Conception Church
Ave Maria Hall (Lower Church)
754 East Gun Hill Road
Bronx, NY 10467

A Thanksgiving style lunch will be provided to volunteers. If you wish to share a dish or dessert, feel free to bring something. This is a great opportunity to give your time back to the community, and come socialize with other professionals.

***Directions***
Take the #2 train to Gun Hill Road Station and then from the station walk about 1-2 blocks east of White Plains Road. To enter the Ave Maria Hall - Lower Church, go through the Church parking lot and look for stairs to the right leading to the lower church.
