Broken Social Scene October 20, 2005

Brendan Canning and Kevin Drew (ex-KC Accidental) formed Broken Social Scene in Toronto in 1999. The band quickly transformed into a collective that integrated friends from other groups in the Ontario music scene such as Do Make Say Think, Stars, Metric, and Feist, who is featured on ?Feel Good Lost?. Released in 2002, ?You Forgot It In People? was named the best alternative album at the Juno Awards. A follow up to ?Bee Hives?, a compilation of rarities and B-sides revealing their postmodern minimalist pop that is at times both experimental and melodic, is the band?s third album, ?Windsurfing Nation?. It comes out on Arts & Crafts in October.
