British Armed Forces Race Day 2010 - Surrey June 26, 2010

Surrey Royal British Legion are holding their now annual special British Armed Forces Race Day Event at Lingfield Park on Armed Forces Day - Saturday 26 June 2010 from 17.00 hours.

All races have been booked and the Veterans Minister invited. The 2nd Battalion - The Royal Anglians have been invited as have TA Members and Surrey Cadets who will be celebrating their 150th Anniversary by taking part in the march-past, accompanied by Surrey Veterans. Also present will be The Lord Lieutenant of Surrey - Mrs Sarah GOAD JP and Brigadier Iain JAMES MBE - Comd 2 (SE) Brigade.

Following the Inspection by the Minister and Lord Lieutenant - there will be an Evening Reception and presentation of Veterans Badges. All Servicemen and women; Veterans and Cadets will have free admission to the Race Day. All are encouraged to wear medals and be present by 17.00 hours in readiness for the march-past. The event is to celebrate and give thanks for the work of the Armed Forces - yesterday, to-day and tomorrow.

Soldiers , Servicemen and Women in Uniform will get FREE ADMISSION - Only Veterans and their Spouses / Partners receiving Veterans Badges get Free Admission - All other Veterans get discounted tickets at £10 which they can book directly from Lingfield Park
