The Friends of the Charlestown Branch presents The Crime of the Century: How the Brinks Robbers Stole Millions and the Hearts of Boston. With author Stephanie Schorow, followed by a showing of the film The Brinks Job. Thursday, March 13, 7:00 pm at the Charlestown Branch Library, 179 Main Street, Charlestown. It was hailed as "The Crime of the Century." On January 17, 1950, seven robbers in weird masks crept into the vault room of the Brinks armored car garage on Prince Street in Bostons North End and walked out with more than $2.5 million in cash, checks, and securities. The daring heist
