Unleash your secret singer-songwriter

Do you write your own songs? Are you bursting to share them with a small, supportive group? Or perhaps you need help finishing a song?

Whether you’ve just started writing songs, or have been secretly writing them for years, come and join us for our monthly meet ups. We welcome all genres and levels.

Brighton Songwriters meets on the first Tuesday of every month at the Brunswick Pub – home to one of Brighton’s most popular open mic nights.

Our vision

In the US, songwriting circles, workshops and even song-camps and cruises are pretty common. Outfits like Nashville Songwriters have a lot of clout, helping lick newbie songwriters into shape.

While writing songs in your front room is great fun, it can be a frustratingly hit and miss affair. Much more fun to compare notes with other songwriters, swap tips and learn from each other.

We want to organise or publicise workshops where budding songwriters can learn from the professionals. And we’ll support events where songwriters can get their songs performed by live bands.
