Brighton City Centre
Brighton, England BN2 1TB

The Brighton Free Tour is a 1.5 hour walking tour which takes you behind the bay windows with their sea views and uncovers the extraordinary story of this eccentric city by the sea. You’ll discover what changed Brighton from a fishing village into the Queen of English resorts. You’ll hear its stories and meet its legendary characters. You’ll learn why it had such an attraction for royalty, fashionable society, writers, artists and the gay community. Strolling around its familiar and not so familiar landmarks, you’ll pass the former homes of the famous and the infamous, including the lodgings of the man believed to have been Jack the Ripper and the house of the secret wife of King George IV. You’ll also stumble on Graham Greene’s favourite pub, and the church where a former black African slave was married with a trousseau bought by Queen Victoria. And these are just a few of the highlights in store! For the full fascinating story - team up with the tour...
