Brian Regan moved to New York City in 1986, where he based himself until 1994. Still hitting the road often during those years, Regan used his time in New York to learn the difference between getting laughs, and getting good laughs. Brian Regan kept his comedy broad enough to work anywhere in the country, but interesting enough to make a name for himself in the demanding New York City scene. The tightrope paid off when he won ten thousand dollars in the K Rock -Miller Lite Funniest Person in New York contest in 1998. From there, all hell broke loose. Brian Regan moved to headliner status and began nailing down national television appearances. By the early '90s, he had developed into one of the best stand up comedians in the country.

Brian Regan's highlights have included his own specials on both Showtime and Comedy Central, being featured in Coca Cola's Concession Stand Comedy in movie theaters throughout the country, regular appearances on both Conan O'Brien and the Late Show with David Letterman, as well as opening regularly in the nation's best theaters for Jerry Seinfeld. Brian Regan is one of the best comedians performing today. His comedy keeps audiences coming back time and again.
