Named after Antonie Brentano, whom many scholars believe to have been Beethoven's mysterious "Immortal Beloved", the Brentano Quartet has been singled out for its technical brilliance, musical insight and stylistic elegance since its inception in 1992. An “ensemble of exceptional insight” (Daily Telegraph), they’ll be joined by clarinetist Anthony McGill – a member of President Obama's inaugural ensemble and one of the top wind players of his generation – for an exciting program that includes Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet in A Major, K. 581, one of the master’s warmest and most popular works.
