Matt Hill

Matt Hill is the front-man with critically acclaimed UK alt.country act, Quiet Loner, who have opened shows for Lambchop, Joe Pernice, Neal Casal, Chris Mills, Richard Buckner and Josh Rouse.

Website Americana UK compared Matt to Elvis Costello and Morrissey, describing his sound as, ' country music with a dark, foreboding, self reflective, sardonic heart, but with glimmers of optimistic passion.'

Denzil

Denzil's debut album Pub was described by NME as, ' 16 tracks of sharp hooks and subtle harmonies, sandwiched somewhere between a frightening Crowded House and a friendly Elvis Costello.'

Those nice people at Time Out said: 'Pub is a debut album that packs the kind of wallop reminiscent of first offerings from Elvis Costello, Squeeze, the Smiths and XTC. A flawless 16 songs of wonderful, transcendent pop."

Alex Lowe

Alex Lowe, the gravel-voiced ex-vocalist with Oasis label mates and retro indie rockers, Hurricane 1, is now pursuing a successful solo career as a country singer/songwriter. His new album, Step Forward All False Prophets, is a wonderful collection of acoustic tunes inspired by Dylan, Johnny Cash, Wilco/Uncle Tupelo and Tom Petty. Think Faces-era Rod Stewart meets The Man In Black.

Louis Eliot

Louis Eliot, former lead singer of cinematic popsters Rialto and indie-glamsters Kinky Machine, has now followed a new direction for his solo work. His debut album, The Long Way Round, embraces classic English guitar pop and pastoral folk. The Times described Louis as 'a true pop genius', whilst The Sunday Express highlighted his 'Beatlesque intimacy' - whatever that means... We say he's the best British songwriter since Ray Davies. So there.
