Breaking In: A Look at Book Publishing TODAY

Writers and readers are invited to a panel discussion about the process of book publishing today on Wednesday, May 13, 5:30-7pm at the New Haven Public Library, 133 Elm St. Panelists include moderator Jessica Bram, author, NPR commentator, owner of Westport Writers Workshop; Lucy Hedrick, nonfiction author and writing coach; Prill Boyle, author of Defying Gravity: a Celebration of Late-Blooming Women; N.A. Nelson, YA novelist; and Denise Marcil, literary agent.

The discussion will explore whats hot right now in the industry, how to prepare a nonfiction book proposal, finding and working with an agent, and how to succeed in writing contests.
