Breakfast with Scot October 9, 2008

Canadian actor Tom Cavanagh, known for his character on the hit television series Ed, plays Eric, who lives for all things hockey. Now in his thirties, he’s managed to turn his stint as a Toronto Maple Leaf into a full-time gig as a commentator for sports TV. He’s living the dream! But when Eric’s boyfriend Sam (Ben Shenkman) announces that they’re to become temporary guardians of an 11-year-old nephew, their household turns into colorful confusion. Canadian director Laurie Lynd produces a tart and sparkling comedy that straps skates on Billy Elliot with a dash of The Bad News Bears thrown in for good measure.
