Breakbone DanceCo. presents DE-evolution of Mudwoman -an evening of dance exile, fashion & humor.

Meet Mudwoman. She's the new IT girl. Watch as she de-evolves from a superficial poptart diva to the ultimate primordial woman. This new concert features work by award winning choreographers Colleen Halloran and Atalee Judy and a duet created by former Hubbard Street Chicago dancer, Cheryl Mann. Mixing uncharacteristic humor into the company's usually serious "call-to-action" fare, the 2008 premiere of DE-evolution of Mudwoman features 12 barely clad dancers covered entirely in dry mud, a virtuosic solo performance by Mindy Meyers as Mudwoman, high octane moves with Atalee Judy's signature Bodyslam Technique, a couture fashion show by designer Branimira Ivanova, cinematic videography by Carl Wiedemann, and a new theatrical exploration for Breakbone, consisting of three "expositors" who enliven the evening with their charismatic correspondence.

DE-evolution of Mudwoman will run for three weeks opening on Thursday, August 21, 2008 and closes Saturday, September 6, 2008. All performances begin at 9:00pm every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday held at The Viaduct Theatre located at 3111 N. Western Avenue in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. Tickets are $18.00 for general admission, $15.00 for students/seniors and may be purchased online at www.viaducttheatre.com, www.ticketweb.com, or by calling the box office at 773-296-6024 to purchase with a credit card over the phone. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the box office as well. Viaduct office hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00pm to 8:00pm. $15 discount tickets must be purchased in person during box office hours or night of show with valid student/senior ID.
