Brazooka puts on a highly explosive show by means of a crisp horn section and powerful percussion, fabricating the rhythms of Africa through Samba, Bossa Nova and Tropicalia. Surdos, caixas, agogos, shekeres and ganzas are played within the likes of eighth notes creating the percussive sensibility of the sounds of Brazil. The female vocalists are uplifting forces that carry the impression of jazz and showcase the depths of rhythm the band can achieve.
