Pianist/vocalist Bill Beach has performed with many jazz legends including Joe Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson, Eddie Harris, Nat Adderley, Mark Murphy and Howard Roberts. He has studied with Marian McPartland, Jack DeJohnette and Warren Bernhardt. Bill has performed in Japan, Mexico, and many European countries.
In 2002 Bill began serious study of Brazilian music and the Portuguese language. His well received 2004 release “Letting Go” included 5 vocal interpretations of Brazilian classics as well as 5 of his original instrumental compositions. He made his first trip to Brazil in 2006 where he met and performed with many Brazilian musicians. In 2008 he began writing his own lyrics in Portuguese. His latest CD "Brasil Beat" is all original music and lyrics in Portuguese. It is scheduled for release in April of 2010.
Drummer Gary Hobbs is a native of the Pacific Northwest and lives in Vancouver, WA. He has played professionaly for over 3 decades and appears on over 50 recordings. Gary played with The Stan Kenton Orchestra from 1975 through 1977. Through the years Gary has played with Randy Brecker, Ken Peplowski, Pete Christlieb, Greta Matassa, Anita O'Day, Suzanna McKorkle, Dan Siegel, Glen Moore, The New York Voices, Eddie Harris and many more.
Gary is very active in Jazz Education teaching at The University Of Oregon and traveling all over the US doing clinics, concerts and jazz camps with the help of Bosphorus Cymbal Company and Yamaha Drum Company.
