D Fir Dramatics presents Mahesh Dattani's 'Bravely Fought the Queen' - Play. Written by playwright Mahesh Dattani, Bravely fought the Queen encompasses the story of a wealthy house hold, consisting of two brothers, Jiten and Nitin,who run an advertising agency and are married to sisters; Dolly and Alka.Their mother, Baa, shifting between the two households, is more attached to her memories of the past than to any present reality. Marital frictions, sibling rivalry, the happenings of a typical matriarchal society, are some of the issues this play highlights. The story unfolds in front of a polite visitor, Lalitha, who witnesses the abnormality of the Trivedi household, and has an obsession with bonsai's, which is symbolic to several situations taking place in the course of the play.
