Personal branding is important in the modern era. When people change jobs -- whether voluntarily or not -- they leave a large part of themselves behind. Unless they have developed a personal brand. What is a personal brand and how do you develop it? Does having a narrow field of expertise, such as creating technical standards, limit your ability to brand yourself? How can you leverage today's social networks to develop your personal brand? What kinds of publishing are available to enhance your brand? During this interactive talk, we'll answer these questions and more.

In this session, you will learn:

* What a personal brand is.
* Why a personal brand is important.
* How social networking can help you develop a personal brand.
* Why publishing valuable content adds to your brand.
* Specific suggestions on how to create a personal brand.
* How to make it work whether you're a solo-preneur or within a large corporation.
