BrainJams are a new type of event where technologists, non-profits, business people and community leaders come together to share their knowledge, experiences and ideas across traditional boundaries. BrainJams enable people to meet new friends/associates from diverse backgrounds and gain insights on their current projects, while contributing to the success of others.

The next BrainJams event will be held this Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00am to 5:00pm at SRI's famed campus in Menlo Park, CA. The first half of the day centers on knowledge networking (aka: BrainJamming), which is similar to speed dating without all the flowers and romance. Participants will have 24 one-on-one meetings lasting five minutes each, where they can talk with one another about what they are doing and share valuable insights from their personal experiences. The attendee lead afternoon sessions focus on how people use emerging technology such as blogs and wikis to more effectively complete their projects and pursue their passions.

The knowledge discussed at BrainJams will be captured by bloggers, podcasters and vloggers to be shared with others online, furthering the discussion and building on what is learned at the event. Attendees will leave the event with dozens of new connections and many new ideas to improve upon the projects with which they are connected.

Attendance is free, though donations are gladly accepted to ensure future BrainJams events are held throughout the country and around the world. To learn more about the event, please visit the Web site at http://brainjams.org.

Hey Chris,

It looks like I'm not going to be able to make it this time. After months of nagging, a couple good friends of mine are coming out for the weekend to see Trey @ the Warfield. You should roll down after the afterparty.

I'll be there in spirit though.

Looking forward to this Chris, thanks for getting it together.

Looks like there will be at least 60 or so people again - perhaps more once some PR hits...
