celebrate
the
launch
of
BPSsports.com
by
Sport
in
 Society
alum
Justin
Rice.


BPSsports.com
was
founded
by
Rice
in
the
fall
of
2009
to
feature
Boston
Public
School
athletes
 and
teams
and
to
provide
an
outlet
for
local
college
and
high
school
students
to
gain
valuable
 journalism
experience.




Mr.
Rice,
who
covers
high
school
sports
for
several
local
papers
such
as
the
Boston
Globe,
 worked
in
BPS
schools
through
Sport
in
Society’s
Athletes
in
Service
to
America
Program.
He
is
 currently
completing
a
Master’s
thesis
about
the
boys
basketball
team
at
Boston
English
High– the
first
secondary‐education
school
in
the
nation.


In
addition
to
learning
about
BPSsports.com
and
the
issues
facing
Boston’s
High
School
sports,
 the
event
will
provide
networking
time,
and
opportunities
to
learn
about
Sport
in
Society
and
its
Master
of
Sports
Leadership
Program.
