This unique traveling exhibit is scheduled to be outside the front of the Staunton Mall on Lee Jackson Hwy. from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5. Activities will move inside the Mall in the event of inclement weather. Making brief comments and accepting the mural will be Scout Executive Don Ellis, Council Commissioner Mike Sexton and Honorary Chairman for the 100th Anniversary of Scouting, General U.S. Army (retired) James H. Binford Peay III, Superintendent of Virginia Military Institute and distinguished Eagle Scout.

Activities are free and the public is invited to attend.

Next February marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts of America, however the celebration is about to begin. The Century of Values Tour is helping all Boy Scout councils throughout the United States kickoff their local celebration of 100 years on Scouting’s role in character and leadership development. On Tuesday, May 5, a 32 foot colorfully decorated Coachman motor home will arrive at the Staunton Mall to present local Boy Scout representatives with a framed anniversary mural.
